Aqueous-Phase Glycerol Conversion over Ni-Based Catalysts Synthesized by Nanocasting

چکیده
A morphological strategy consisting of nanocasting synthesis nickel aluminate spinel precursor was addressed. Two nanocasted catalysts were synthesized involving different template-removal procedures (i.e., Teflon-assisted calcination vs. NaOH washing) for recovery. As a reference, NiAl2O4 supported by SBA-15 and bare selected. The obtained solids characterized in detail, examining their textural, acid–base, structural compositional characteristics, either the calcined or reduced forms. as-obtained catalysts’ performance evaluated aqueous-phase reforming glycerol at 235 °C 35 bar. Exhausted samples also to enlighten changes catalyst properties during reaction. NiAl/SBA-15 NiAl-NCF showed very poor catalytic transformation. NiAl-NCN presented improved activity with respect NiAl, 20% higher hydrogen production rate but, as drawback, methane formation whole range conversions. indicated oxidized liquid phase

Aqueous-Phase Hydrogenolysis of Glycerol over Re Promoted Ru Catalysts Encapuslated in Porous Silica Nanoparticles
Activity improvement of Ru-based catalysts is needed for efficient production of valuable chemicals from glycerol hydrogenolysis. In this work, a series of Re promoted Ru catalysts encapuslated in porous silica nanoparticles (denoted as Re-Ru@SiO₂) were prepared by coating silica onto the surface of chemically reduced Ru-polyvinylpyrrolidone colloids, and were used to catalyze the conversion of...
متن کاملSelective Gas-Phase Conversion of Glycerol to Acetol Over Promoted Zirconia Solid Acid Catalysts
The vapour phase selective conversion of glycerol to acetol at normal atmospheric pressure in a fixed-bed micro reactor was investigated over SO4 2 and WOx promoted ZrO2 and M-ZrO2 (M = Al2O3 or TiO2) solid acid catalysts. The investigated sulfate and tungstate ion promoted zirconia-based catalysts were prepared by both coprecipitation and impregnation methods and calcined at 923 K. The synthes...
متن کاملNon-oxidative conversion of methane to aromatics over modified zeolite catalysts by transitional metals
The activity of different transitional metals over modified H-ZSM-5 catalysts for methane conversion to aromatics was compared. The first group of catalysts was Mo-impregnated H-ZSM-5 zeolites with 1, 3 and 6 wt% of Mo. The second group was M(3 wt%)- impregnated H-ZSM-5 (M: Ag, Cd, Cr, Mo, Zn and Mn). The catalytic activity of the first group was investigated at 600, 700 and 800 °C and gas hour...
